Într-o mică pădurice, în sălbăticie, tata m-a găsit…
Tatăl cel urât e inspirat de o relicvă chineză antică, „Figurina care cântă rap”. Tatăl urât din piesă este un artist chinez din Antichitate, care își câștigă traiul din reprezentațiile sale de rap. În acele vremuri tulburate de război, el găsește un bebeluș abandonat și îl crește confruntându-se cu mari neajunsuri… Tatăl cel urât este un spectacol pentru copii despre „educația paternă”, care spune, în primul rând, o poveste despre dragostea dintre tată și fiu. Piesa integrează elemente din opera chineză tradițională (tehnici de interpretare a rolului de clovn) și expresii ale teatrului fizic.

The Ugly Dad is inspired by an ancient Chinese historical relic, the „Rap-singing Figurine”. The Ugly Dad in the play is an ancient Chinese rap artist who makes a living by performing. In those days torn by war, he found an abandoned baby and raised the child with great hardship… The Ugly Dad is a children’s play about the „fatherly education”, mainly telling a story of love between father and son. The play features the integration of traditional Chinese opera elements (performing techniques of the clown role) and physical theater expressions.
