THE STORY OF COURAGE

„Una din funcțiile artei este explicarea și explorarea unor concepte noi. Animația are mijloacele necesare pentru a traduce noțiuni mai abstracte din sfera ecologiei. De aceea recurgem la acest mediu de expresie pentru a integra în conștiința comunităților aspecte ce vizează deteriorarea mediului, eliminarea deșeurilor, dezvoltarea unui comportament ecoprotectiv.

Spectacolul este despre dorința de a fi împreună, dorința de schimbare. Este, de fapt, proiectul unei bufnite care dorește să se implice în procesul de protejare a mediului. Reușește să facă lucrul acesta și să-i convingă și pe cei din jurul ei cât de important este să avem un mediu înconjurător sănătos. ,,Să folosești ceva, spune ea, care nu valorează nimic și să-i dai un alt tip de valoare  înseamnă magie!”

‘One of the functions of art is to explain and explore new concepts. Animation has the instruments required to translate more abstract ecological notions. We therefore resort to this means of expression to integrate aspects regarding environmental degradation, waste disposal, and the development of an ecoprotective behaviour into the communities’ consciousness.

The Story of Courage incorporates participatory production, using the art of animation as a tool for education and empowerment.’ Dana Bonțidean

The show is about the wish to be together, the desire for change. It is, in fact, the project of an owl who wishes to become part of the process of protecting the environment. She succeeds in doing it and convinces those around her as well of how important it is to have a healthy environment. ‘To take something,’ she says, ‘that’s worth nothing and give it a different kind of value – that’s magic!’
