One man show de și cu Florin Piersic jr.
„Singur în scena goală cu personajele pe care le-a imaginat prin scris și joc actoricesc, Florin Piersic Jr. recidivează splendid cu sequel-ul Freak Show vol. 2. E un one man show de numere în care actorul se autoregizează, urmând o schiță scenică deja verificată. Întregul e gândit în așa fel încât ne plimbă prin tipologii umane din vecinătatea cotidiană (tânărul amant care o exploatează financiar pe mai matura lui, cu 32 de ani, iubită; un taximetrist în situația de-a face față unor avansuri gay; o moderatoare de televiziune de stat contaminată de vedetismele invitaților ei; un scenarist de telenovele obligat să gestioneze imixtiune producătorului; actorul principal care recurge la un „casting” neortodox pentru viitoarea parteneră de scenă; moldoveanul care-și pregătește un video matrimonial etc.). Un sumar de profiluri pitorești, varietatea circumstanțelor, comicul lor, dezvăluirea gradată a mini-narațiunilor teatrale, surpriza, crescendo-ul sunt parametri care girează reușita. În fiecare situație teatrală se intră abrupt, prin cut-uri muzicale și lumină verde orientată spre sală, pentru a masca sumarele operațiuni de deghizare (o șapcă, ochelari de soare sau de vedere, cătușe, o pereche de căști, un telefon mobil, o perucă, puțin ruj etc.), apoi spot pe actorul care șade pe scaun, la microfon și dă probă de talent după probă. Izvoarele comicului se află în scenariul colaj, în panoplia de personaje portretizate cu o caricatură nesupărătoare care le face simpatice, și, evident, în tonurile interpretării care ne plimbă prin registrul comic zemos, absurd insidios, dramatic amărui. Actorul are prezență de spirit, nerv, rezolvă din mers neprevăzutul prin improvizații spontane, e și un pic de interacțiune ce trimite la stand-up, surpriza se ivește după colțul fiecărei replici, în cotituri neașteptate. Metamorfozare mimică, ritmare cursivă, gradarea efectelor comice, potențarea lor prin scriitură și maniera de-a le spune scenic (cu firesc, cu pauze eficace teatral, în parteneriat cu lumina asigură echilibrul performativ al spectacolului. Arsenalul actoricesc se dezlănțuie într-un minimalism interpretativ măiestrind tainele solisticii!” (Oltița Cîntec)

“Alone on an empty stage with the characters that he has imagined through writing and performing, Florin Piersic Jr. makes a splendid comeback with the sequel Freak Show Vol. 2. It is a one man show with acts in which the actor becomes his own director, following an already planned theatrical narration. The show is designed to take us on a journey filled with typologies from every-day life (the young lover who financially exploits his partner, who is 32 years older, a taxi driver facing gay flirtations, a hostess from a national TV station intoxicated by her boasting guests, a soap opera writer who has to manage his producer’s meddling, the lead actor who resorts to an unorthodox casting for his future stage partner, the Moldavian man who prepares his matrimonial video and others). A summary of picturesque profiles, the variety of circumstances, their comic character, the gradual unveiling of the mini theatrical narrations, the surprise, the crescendo are all parameters which build up the success of the show. Every theatrical situation is entered abruptly, through musical cuts and green lighting orientated towards the public, in order to mask the simple disguising of the character (a cap, sunglasses or prescription glasses, handcuffs, headphones, a mobile phone, a wig, a bit of lipstick and others), followed by a spotlight on the actor who sits down on a chair, with a microphone while submitting himself to acts of proving his talent. The roots of the comic stand in the collage like scenario, in the characters portrayed in an inoffensive caricatural manner that makes them lovely, and, obviously, in the tones of the interpretation which takes us through different registers: the fruitful comic, the absurdly insidious and the bitterly dramatic. The actor has presence of mind, nerve, solves the unpredictable through spontaneous improvisations as he goes. There is also a bit of interaction that makes us think of a stand-up act, every line hides a surprise, with unexpected turns and twists. Mimical metamorphosis, cursive rhythm, the calibration of the comic effects, their accentuation through writing and the manner of telling them on stage (obviously, with efficient theatrical pauses), alongside the lighting which all offer the performative balance of the show. The theatrical complexity is unleashed in an interpretive minimalism, as the actor masters the mysteries of a solo act.” (Oltița Cîntec)
