Un spectacol de Gianina Cărbunariu
Spectacolul documentează cazul lui Mugur Călinescu, elevul de liceu din Botoșani, care, în în 1981, a scris cu creta mesaje anticomuniste pe panourile din jurul unui șantier, vreme de aproape o lună. Cazul a devenit un dosar de cercetare, “Elevul”, arhivat în depozitele Securității până când istoricul Mihail Bumbeș l-a descoperit readus la lumină. Acesta a studiat în Arhivele Securității procesele verbale de la interogatorii, stenogramele convorbirilor telefonice, rapoartele de urmărire, dările de seamă, notele informative, a discutat cu mama, cu prietenii, foști colegi, dar și cu doi din ofițerii de securitate care l-au anchetat (discuția s-a purtat în 2007). Gianina Cărbunariu a apelat la acest valoros material ready-made și a imaginat Tipografic majuscul în cadrul proiectului european “Vieţi paralele – Secolul 20 văzut prin ochii Poliţiei Secrete”.
This show is documenting the case of Mugur Călinescu, a teenager attending one of the city’s high schools “A.T. Laurian” who, in 1981, on the panels that stood as boundaries around a building site in Botoșani, as well as on the walls of the surrounding buildings, chalk inscriptions hinting towards rebelling against the communist regime had appeared. The case was subject of an inquiry, code name “The Student”, and the files have been archived in the Securitate vaults up until the historian Mihail Bumbes found it and brought it to light. He has studied the records of the interrogation in the archives of the Securitate, looking into the minutes, tracking reports, documentation regarding decisions, informative notes, he spoke with his mother, friends, former class mates (some of them appeared in the records as informants), but he also spoke with two of the officers who worked on the case (this happened in 2007). Gianina Carbunariu took full advantage of this “ready-made” material and created a show Typographic Capital Letters as part of the “Paralel Lifes – the 20th century through the eyes of political police” Project.
